The little dragon

by MB R.

One summer morning a baby dragon stepped out of her cave to the outside. When she laid her paw on the ground it was cold and white. She did not know what was going on so she took one more step and as she stepped down she felt the cold feeling again. She was so confused so she ran back in her cave as fast as her little legs could carry her. When she got to her mother’s sleeping cave she quietly stepped next to her mom and very lightly tugged on her mom and very lightly tugged on her mamas ear. Her mom did not stir so she did it one more time and her mom did not stir so she laid beside her and listened to her mother’s heart and all she heard was the sound of the morning birds. She could not believe it. She broke out in tears, hugged her mother and laid beside her. A little while later she had a realization that she was on her own and had no one to take care of her so she got herself together and decided to try and go outside. As she got to the end of her mother’s sleeping cave to the tunnel leading to the outside and as she got to the end of the tunnel leading to the outside and when she laid her paw on the ground she did not know why she did not feel the cold anymore. So she stepped again and felt nothing but a ice crunch beneath her paws. So she started to walk away from her cave. She did not know how to fly yet because she was still a baby but she just kept walking and telling herself not to look back.
